2020 Vision and Strategic Plan

Denver Kids, Inc. is embarking on a bold and exciting 2020 Vision and Strategic Plan to be a major impact player in the dropout crisis facing our community. A student that drops out of high school is twice as likely to experience poverty, is expected to cost the community upwards of $200,000 over the course of their lifetime, and skips out on nearly $1 million in lost earning potential during their working career. This is a crisis that affects us all. Denver Kids, Inc. has a bold vision to increase our graduating class to 20% of the total expected Denver Public Schools graduates who live in poverty and in single-guardian households or approximately 425 students by the school-year 2020/21.

It is with a sense of urgency and unwavering dedication to our students that we implement these and other strategies, knowing that our students can’t wait.  All children deserve the chance to reach their highest potential and improving their educational outcomes is critical in helping them do so.  Denver Kids, Inc., as it has since 1946, is committed to meeting the academic needs of our students and to creating a plan for the future to serve more students while maintaining the quality of our services.
