Annual Summer Solstice Golf Marathon

On June 20, 2011, torrential rains threatened to put the golf marathon on hold. But Denver Kids, Inc. supporters aren't ones to let a little water get in the way. Teeing off as soon as it was light enough to see the ball and playing around the extra water obstacles, 24 wet and cold golfers made their way around the course as many as six times to complete 100 holes in less than ten hours. This incredible test of endurance resulted in some exhausted players as well as $28,897 in support of Denver Kids, Inc. students and our program – and contributions continue to come in!

Thank you to the golfers and the Golf Committee, as well as to the hundreds of people who provided financial sponsorship to the Golf Marathon participants.  In addition, Keller-Lowry Insurance, Inc., Premco & Associates, ProCorp Images, Southwest Airlines, Water 2 Wine and Wood & Co. deserve special recognition for providing financial sponsorship and in-kind donations in support of the Denver Kids, Inc. golfers. 100% of the funds raised by golfers support Denver Kids, Inc.

Start planning for the 2012 Summer Solstice Golf Marathon

Held in June each year, this fundraising event is exclusive to Denver Kids, Inc.

All golfers who are brave enough to play 100 holes (or as many as you can manage) in one day are welcome!  Once registered, Denver Kids, Inc. provides participants with fundraising information, pointers, and encouragement.  Golfers are asked to raise a minimum of $500 per person in support of Denver Kids, Inc.
